Keytroller KLM601

Keytroller LLC makes advanced vehicle monitoring systems. These rugged devices are mounted on forklifts and other industrial equipment and are then used to ensure operator safety, preserve costly equipment by monitoring driving habits, enforce maintenance schedules, and perform a myriad other safety, security, and compliance-related functions.

Designing and producing the KLM601 presented a unique challenge for Tibbo. Keytroller vehicle monitoring devices must withstand jet and steam washing, operate in all weather conditions and in widely varying temperature ranges, as well as function reliably under extreme levels of vibration.

The resulting product is water- and dust-proof to IP68. It has an operating temperature range of -40C to +80C, and has also been tested according to a military vibration standard. The KLM601 is also highly functional: it's fully programmable, supports Wi-Fi, and features a capacitive keypad and color LCD.

Exterior design

The KLM601's housing was made as compact as possible while preserving a modularized approach to internal hardware: there are numerous options for additional internal boards, such as an RFID reader, GPRS or GPS board. The tapering lines of the housing look stylish, and the capacitive keypad improves durability while making the device look that much cooler.
